Eating4Life
Eating4Life (E4L) teaches students in an interactive environment about the benefits of a healthy diet. Based off the MyPlate initiative, E4L includes a lecture on healthy eating and a hands-on portion where students participate in the preparation of a meal. The program has already been presented to several Raleigh/ Durham area schools, and Zacki is looking to bring E4L to your school.
The standard program, which takes two hours, teaches the students the importance of making healthy food choices in order to live a healthy life. The program starts with a 45-minute lecture followed by a culinary lesson with recipes students will help prepare. E4L can be customized to meet the needs of your school; the lecture can be shortened or lengthened, and the number of recipes prepared can be reduced or expanded. The recipes are allergen friendly, lacking in tree nuts and peanuts.
